Pine Bluff Fire and Emergency Services Chief Shauwn Howell was a guest on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show Friday where host Greg Horne noted that with the weather getting colder, people are trying to get inside and maybe doing things they shouldn’t be doing, resulting in fires.
Horne said that early in November, there were a string of fires that could have been arson but the department’s monthly report showed that by the end of the month, things had slowed down and the call volume was actually a little less than the month before.
Howell then talked about that string of fires and the possibility they could have been arson.
