UPDATE: Charges for Kenneth Cotton have been upgraded once again.
Cotton is now charged with Attempted Capital Murder, according to family of the victim.
Cotton was arrested after an attack on his wife led to life-threatening injuries on December 16.
He has also been charged with with Felony Assault in the 3rd Degree, Resisting Arrest, and Felony Battery in the First Degree.
Cotton’s arraignment is set for January 15th.
UPDATE: Charges have been upgraded for Kenneth Cotton, a Grant County man arrested earlier this week for a violent attack against his wife.
Grant County Prosecutors have added a charge of Attempted Murder in the First Degree. He has also been charged with with Felony Assault in the 3rd Degree, Resisting Arrest, and Felony Battery in the First Degree.

UPDATE: The bond for Kenneth Cotton has been raised to a $1 million cash only bond by Judge Stephen Shirron following a probable cause hearing Wednesday morning.
Cotton has been charged with Felony Assault in the 3rd Degree, Resisting Arrest, and Felony Battery in the First Degree.
Deltaplex News is told more charges are pending and are expected to be added as the investigation continues.
UPDATE: According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office Kenneth Cotton has been charged with Aggravated Assault along with multiple other felonies following a violent attack against his wife on Monday.
Family of the victim tell Deltaplex News his initial bond has been set at $250,000 cash only.
Cotton was arrested by Grant County Deputies on Sunday after attacking the victim’s vehicle, causing damage to it. He posted bond Monday before allegedly returning to the victims house where the victim was packing her things so she could leave when the attack happened, according to family members.
The victim suffered multiple skull fractures, a broken wrist, broken knee, and a brain bleed in addition to other self defense wounds, according to family. The family tells Deltaplex News that the victim was hit in the head with a hammer between 12 to 15 times.
The victim is currently in the critical care unit of a Little Rock hospital.

A Grant County man is under arrest after a woman was assaulted with what is believed to be a hammer Monday afternoon.
The manhunt for Kenneth Cotton took place on Grant County Road 821. Cotton was arrested around 3:05 p.m.
The woman is in a Little Rock hospital with numerous injuries to include at least one skull fracture and other broken bones. Family says she is responsive.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is expected to release more information soon.
