The Pine Bluff Regional Chamber of Commerce’s 2019 annual dinner meeting will feature keynote speaker Chris Masingill, former co-chairman of the Delta Regional Authority.

The formal dinner event will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00pm.  The location is the Pine Bluff Country Club at 1100 West 46th Avenue in Pine Bluff.  Tickets are $60 each or $600 for a table seating eight, according to a news release.

Masingill has been the chief executive officer for St. Tammany Corp. since July 2018.  He was a U.S. Senate-confirmed presidential appointee to the Delta Regional Authority where he was co-chairman from 2010 to 2017, according to the release.

“In his seven years as federal co-chairman, the DRA leveraged more than $90 million in DRA funds into nearly $1.6 billion in total private- and public-sector investments in Delta communities,” according to the release.  “Overall, DRA investments under Masingill assisted in the creation and retention of more than 5,700 jobs.  Almost 3,000 workers received training for 21st-century employment.”

“Prior to leading the DRA, Masingill served the state of Arkansas as Gov. Mike Beebe’s director of intergovernmental affairs and chief policy advisor for economic and community development.  During that time, he was also tasked to serve as the Arkansas recovery implementation director for the American Recovery and Reinvestment act of 2009,” according to the release.

Planning is underway and limited sponsorships are available for the Chamber’s annual dinner meeting.  Seating will be limited so participants are urged to make plans to attend.
