The Pine Bluff Regional Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with Go Forward Pine Bluff to offer a six-week Candidate Development Institute (CDI) beginning later this month.

According to a press release, the course provides a basis for planning and implementing a campaign for public office. Topics include: preparing yourself for public office, preparing yourself for a political campaign, organizing your campaign, maintaining complete and accurate financial records voting for progress in your community and helping your candidate get elected.

The course will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. each Thursday, Sept. 23 to Oct. 28 at the Alliance at 510 Main St. The class will be limited to 30 participants.

The Candidate Development Institute is open to anyone. There is an application process that must be followed. The course has a $100 registration fee.

Persons interested in applying may obtain an application from the Chamber. Applications must be completed and returned with the registration fee made payable to the Pine Bluff Regional Chamber of Commerce no later than Sept. 15.
