Central Moloney, Inc. has announced the acquisition of Superior Tool, Inc. of Redfield, according to a news release.

Superior Tool, which began in 1996, operates a 10,000 square foot facility and provides “highly specialized tool and die making expertise and equipment across a wide variety of businesses,” the news release said.

CMI President/CEO Chris Hart said of the new venture:  “We don’t view this as an acquisition.  Our position is that we are adding to the already impressive CMI family.

“Bringing Jason Burnside and the team at Superior only strengthens our position of commitment to providing the highest value to our existing customer base.  It also allows us to contribute to, but not radicalize, the stellar reputation previously earned by our new tooling division.”

Hart also expressed his pleasure that Superior’s founder, Jason Burnside, will now be joining the CMI executive team as vice president and general manager of Tooling Operations.

Central Moloney, Inc. is an ISO 9001 certified company operating in two facilities in Pine Bluff.  The Central Moloney, Inc. story began in 1949 and has grown into an operation with 550 team members in two facilities that manufacture the world’s finest transformers and components products.
