The CASA Women’s Shelter created a “Great Escape Auction” that is meant to grow the proceeds of the shelter to continue helping women and their kids to fully escape domestic abuse and in some cases the abuser. The auction is taking place at their Purple Purse store located at 1514 S State Street and CASA is asking for donations of name brand items, new items, or items that are in good condition so that the shelter can gain a great value for the product.
CASA is also accepting donations for their store and they accept everything, including donations to go towards maintaining not only the shelter but also to help fight against homelessness in Pine Bluff. The shelter currently provides backpacks full of food, give out clothes/shoes that are needed, blankets, tents, and anything needed to keep those that are homeless warm. They also accept donations such as pop-top canned foods, socks, tarps, backpacks, water, underwear/panties, umbrellas, hygiene products, blankets, and any other item that would be considered as a necessity.
Donations for both causes are accepted at The Purple Purse store or at the CASA Women’s Shelter located on 1113 South State Street. Every purchase or donation goes towards helping a woman escape from domestic abuse.
