On Monday night, the Pine Bluff City Council approved a short-term lease with the Saracen Casino who will wanted to use the former Bank of America building downtown.

Tuesday morning on the Oldies 101.3 morning show, Carlton Saffa explained what the building will be used for.

Saffa said that with the number of people who are going to be interviewed, they needed a bigger building “so we went to Bank of America on a temporary basis for a bigger building.”
He also discussed the hiring process.

The current plan is to open the casino Oct. 1 with a few soft openings before that, Saffa said, adding that the plan is to open all seven restaurants at the same time the casino opens.

Saffa said there will be a lot of people who come to the casino to visit the restaurants and which he described as a “culinary experience,” and which will feature a lot of locally grown produce.
