A three-vehicle accident in North Little Rock Monday resulted in the death of a Cabot man.
According to a preliminary report, two of the vehicles, a 2019 Jeep Cherokee driven by William Cox, 40, and a tractor-trailer were both stopped in traffic because of a prior accident in front of a 2019 International Box-Truck. The driver of that truck failed to stop and struck the rear of the Jeep, causing the front of the Jeep to strike the rear of the tractor-trailer.
The Box Truck continued forward with the right front side of the vehicle came to rest on top of the jeep.
Cox was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the other two vehicles were not injured.
That accident was reported at 6:56 a.m. and the death was the 25th so far this year on the state’s highways.
