A Pine Bluff man with what prosecutors called a “substantial criminal history” was arrested M0nday night after police found him walking near the Dollar General store on East Harding Avenue carrying two cases of Budweiser beer.

Robert Cobbs, 47, was taken into custody after police found the lower glass panel of the front door broken and a brick hear the door.

During a court hearing Wednesday, Deputy Prosecut0r Beth Carson said security video from the store showed a man later identified as Cobbs break the door glass with a brick, then enter the store. The video also showed the suspect wearing lime green pants and red shoes. When Cobbs was arrested, He was wearing lime green pants and red shoes.

Carson said when Cobbs was interviewed, he told police he had been walking near 17th Avenue and Ohio Street when multiple males approached him and asked if he wanted their beer.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $10,000 bond for Cobbs after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with commercial burglary,

Cobbs has previously been convicted of multiple commercial burglaries and will be held on a parole hold from the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections. After Bridgforth set his bond, Cobbs let loose with multiple obscenities toward Bridgforth, Carson, and the Department of Community Corrections.
