Bruce Westerman has been projected by the Associated Press to win the race for the Congressional House of Representatives in Arkansas’s 4th District. He was running against Democrat Risie Howard.
The 4th District encompasses areas such as Pine Bluff, Hot Springs, and Texarkana in southern Arkansas.
Westerman, who has served the district since 2014, was previously a state legislator and holds the distinction of being the only forester in the House.
He is recognized for his contributions to forestry legislation and has expressed a desire for the next Congress to address energy and mining issues.
