Bruce Springsteen and Foo Fighters both will be competing for honors at the Brit Awards, the U.K. equivalent of the Grammys.

Springsteen has once again been nominated for the International Male Solo Artist award. The Boss has competed for the honor seven times before — in 2003, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2020 — but has never won.

This year, The Boss will be up against American singer/rapper Childish Gambino, Canadian star The Weeknd, Nigerian artist Burna Boy and Tame Impala, aka Australian musician Kevin Parker.

As for Dave Grohl and company, they will vie for the International Group award, which they’ve won four previous times, in 2008, 2012, 2015 and 2018.

The Foos’ competition this year is U.S. sibling pop-rock band HAIM, Brooklyn-based hip hop supergroup Run the Jewels, K-pop sensations BTS and Irish post-punk band Fontaines D.C. The only band that has nabbed more International Group honors at the Brits than Foo Fighters is U2, with five trophies.

The 2021 Brit Awards will take place May 11. Visit Brits.co.uk for a full list of nominees and more info.
