Two people were killed and two others injured in a two-vehicle accident in Bradley County Saturday afternoon.

According to a preliminary report, a1982 Toyota driven by 60-year-old Jeffery Pinson of Longview was westbound on  Arkansas Highway 8 when the vehicle veered left of center and struck a 2023 GMC Sierra driven by Wiliam Meeks, 22, of Crossett that had also veered left of the centerline.

Pinson and a passenger in his vehicle, Jerry Cotham, 58, of Fountain Hill were killed and Meeks and a passenger in his vehicle, Emily Rayford, 23, of Oak Grove, La., were injured and taken to the Ashley County Medical Center.

The accident was reported at 3 p.m. and the two deaths bring to 15 the number of people killed so far this year on the state’s highways.
