The Boys and Girls Club of Pine Bluff hosted a Fall Festival for The Pine Bluff Lighthouse School, October 28th at the Club location at 2701 Short Reeker St for the students and local community to partake in fun activities and treats for the holiday.

Lighthouse School Principal John Osborn spoke with Deltaplex News about the background leading up to the festival and mentioned some staff and parents that also volunteer with the Boys and Girls Club.

The school hosts a Fall Festival yearly but like most events during 2020, the festival could not take place due to the number of people that they usually would attract. According to Osborn, this year was one of their best turnouts to date and they had approximately 250 people attend this year.

The festival had multiple fun activities and games for the community to participate in and Osborn explained more about that.

Students were encouraged to dress up like a book character for the festival and according to Osborn, not only the youth but also the parents came to the festival dressed up, “They knew it was going to be a fun time and they took advantage of it,” said Osborn.
