BORMAN NAMED NCBWA ALL-CENTRAL REGION
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The National Collegiate Baseball Writer’s Association (NCBWA) released its annual All-Region awards over the weekend and University of Arkansas at Monticello senior Dylan Borman earned All-Central Region honors.
Borman was named Second Team All-Central Region at shortstop after leading the Weevils in home runs and slugging percentage this season.
During his senior campaign, the Camrose, Alberta, Canada product launched a career-high 16 home runs which led UAM and ranked second in the Great American Conference. Borman also tallied 40 RBI, 38 runs scored and 11 doubles while posting a .338 batting average. This season, he collected 46 hits including 14 multi-hit games and two multi-home run performances.
Borman’s 16 dingers this season was the second-most in a single season at UAM and pushed him to second all-time in career home runs with 39. His 40 runs driven in moved him up to fourth in program history for career RBI finishing with 139.
The senior shortstop also garnered All-GAC recognition for the third time in his UAM career after landing first team all-conference honors. Borman earned All-GAC honorable mention following the 2018 and 2019 seasons.
