Arkansas’s senior Senator, John Boozman (R-Arkansas), on Wednesday talked about immigration, particularly drugs that are being brought across the border with Mexico.

Speaking to Deltaplex News, Boozman said it is important to secure the border.

Boozman went on to say that employers must be held accountable if they hire people they shouldn’t but they shouldn’t be immigration agents.

“We need a strong visa program in areas like agricultural workers who are needed from time to time,” Boozman said. “They come across, work, and go back home, taking those dollars back to their villages and families to spend.”

He also talked about former President Trump’s actions to reduce immigration, compared to the actions of President Biden.
