WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) released the following statement on the passing of former Senator Bob Dole:
“Cathy and I join the countless Americans mourning the loss of Bob Dole. The Greatest Generation gave us many heroes to respect and admire, but Bob Dole was surely among its finest. On the battlefield, he sacrificed much in defense of the country and freedoms he revered. Then he embarked on a new chapter of service that lasted decades while staying true to his convictions and the Midwest roots that shaped his life. A warrior, statesman and icon, Bob Dole’s legacy and leadership will endure. We pray for Elizabeth and the entire Dole family, and thank them for sharing their Kansan original with a grateful and inspired nation.”
