A $100,000 bond was set Friday for a juvenile student at Pine Bluff High School accused of raping another student on campus Monday.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond for the 14-year-old student, whose name is being withheld because of his age.

During the court hearing, Deputy Prosecutor Caleb Conrad said police were called to the school at about 3:22 p.m. where the juvenile female victim reported that she was walking near the Patterson Building when she was pulled into the building and into an empty stairwell by the suspect.

The victim said her pants were pulled down and the suspect raped her while telling her to be quiet. She said when he had finished, he pulled up his pants and left.

Conrad said video from the school showed the suspect with his arm around the girl’s head, then forcing her to the ground, having sex with her and then leaving.

The suspect was ordered to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled.
