A $15,000 bond was set Tuesday for a Jefferson County woman accused of breaking into her former husband’s house on Sunday and threatening him and a female with a handgun

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Ginger Richardson, 46, with residential burglary and aggravated assault.

Reading rom a probable cause affidavit from Sheriff’s Investigator Sgt. Johnathan Powell, Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson said a deputy was sent to a residence on Baldwin Road where the alleged victim said he was asleep when his ex-wife busted through the door of the house with a pistol and tried to point a pistol at him but said she had the barrel pointed at herself.

He told a deputy that he was able to get the gun away from her and threw it on the roof of the house and said she picked up a shovel and tried to poke him with it.

A woman who said she was living with the alleged victim said Richardson kicked open the door, then went to her vehicle where she got a pistol and was holding it backwards. She said Richardson’s ex-husband was able to get the gun and throw it on the roof and Powell reported that a deputy retrieved a .380-caliber pistol from the roof.

Richardson was also charged with misdemeanor third-degree domestic battery and pleaded not guilty to that allegation in Jefferson County District Court earlier Tuesday.

She was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victims until the case is settled and the Public Defender’s Office was appointed to represent her.
