The Jefferson County Sheriff’s office was contacted by farmers saying that they discovered an unclothed body lying in a field near the intersection of Highway 65 South and Highway 425 yesterday evening. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office stated that deputies arrived on scene at around 4:45 discovering a body with clothing close by.
The identity of the person will be released once the family has been notified. At this time cause of death is undetermined. The body has been transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for an autopsy.
