The Pine Bluff Zebras will play for the Class 5A State Championship Thursday night against Lake Hamilton at Bank OZK Arena in Hot Springs, and Head Coach Billy Dixon knows his team has a tough task at hand.
The Z’s have defeated Lake Hamilton twice this year, so this will be the third match up between the two teams.
Dixon joined Greg Horne on Oldies 101.3 Wednesday to discuss the game. Horne said it is tough to beat the same team three times, but Dixon said it is hard to beat a good team any time you play them, especially when you are playing them in their own back yard.
He also spoke about what Pine Bluff fans need to do in order to purchase tickets.
Dixon also spoke about what his team has done this week to prepare for the game.
At one point in time teams were able to conduct a shoot around inside of Bank OKZ arena before their game. Now, they are not able to do so, and Dixon said they just have to be ready to go once they get there.
