A 14-year-old boy was killed in a hunting accident near Hartford Monday afternoon, according to 40/29 News.

The report states that Newt Hodge and his 19-year-old brother were loading a deer into their truck when a gun fell and went off, according to Arkansas Game & Fish. Hodge was hit in the back and his brother was hit in the shoulder.

Arkansas Game and Fish officials said the brothers were taken to the hospital where Hodge was pronounced dead.

This is the second hunting death in the state this year, according to Arkansas Game and Fish.
