Arkansas roads ranked near the bottom in the U.S.

When you hop behind the wheel of your car in the Natural State, you will be traveling on some of the worst roads in the country. Consumer Affairs says Arkansas roads are the ninth worst in the U.S. The survey looked at fatalities per 100 million miles, road surface roughness, the percentage of rural roads given a poor rating, and the amount of money spent on roads. Residents from each state were also surveyed. Arkansas has the third highest rate of fatalities per 100 million miles driven. States with roads worse than Arkansas include Rhode Island, Hawaii, California, Louisiana, Wisconsin, New York, Massachusetts and Nebraska
