Monkeypox numbers in the state continue to creep up, and the Arkansas Department of Health is keeping a close eye on the disease.
Dr. Joel Tumlinson with ADH joined Rick Walker on Sunrise Deltaplex with an update. He was asked if even though we aren’t in an emergency situation, is the Department staying prepared?
There is not a vaccine at this point, but there are ways to treat it.
Nearly all cases in the country have been spread through sex, but could be acquired other ways.
