Arkansas City has used money from the federal CARES Act to purchase a new digital media system to provide information on COVID-19.

According to the McGehee-Dermott Times-News, the media display system at City Hall includes two screen monitors, an 85-inch outdoor monitor and a 75-inch wall mounted display inside.

Rich Hales, the Mayor of Arkansas City, told the newspaper that in addition to the monitors, funds from the CARES Act will be used to buy masks, hand sanitizers, face shields and other personal protection equipment like gloves and sanitizing wipes for first responders and citizens.

The monitoring system was installed at the Arkansas City City Hall.
