Pine Bluff has been gearing up for weeks now to host the 5A State Basketball tournament at the
Convention Center. Bobby Swofford is the Assistant Executive Director of Communications and PR at
the Arkansas Activities Association. He was a guest of Rick Walker on Sunrise Deltaplex and talked
about the event. Rick asked him if he feels the excitement of this week.
He went on to explain how the sites are chosen.
Rick told him he thought they did a great job of spreading the state tournament sites around.
The finals will be held again in Hot Springs and Swofford explained that process and if it will be in the
Spa City longterm.
Several games in the tournament will be broadcast each day this week on Oldies 101.3.
