It appears that Foo Fighters have started teasing their upcoming new album.

Instagram and Reddit users have spotted billboards and other signs around Los Angeles featuring the Foos’ “FF” logo, alongside a big letter X. Being that the next album from Dave Grohl and company will be their 10th studio effort, it seems likely that the X refers to the Roman numeral for 10.

One of the ads is accompanied by a video of a coffin on fire. Interestingly, as Rock Sound points out, that video’s also in the background when you listen to the 2011 Foos song “These Days” on Spotify.

Foo Fighters started teasing the new album earlier this year but, as Grohl told Entertainment Weekly, the COVID-19 pandemic put in on hold. The band had also planned to launch a 25th anniversary tour this year, which also was canceled due to the pandemic.

The most recent Foo Fighters album is 2017’s Concrete and Gold.
