Annual Bi-States Horticulture Conference, Seed Swap Set for March 30

The 13th Annual Bi-States Cooperative Extension Program Horticulture Conference and Seed Swap will be held Thursday, March 30, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m. The conference will take place at the Southwest Center, 3222 West 7th Street, Texarkana, Texas. Those who cannot join the meeting in-person can participate virtually via the Zoom videoconferencing platform.

Conference topics will include small-scale tree nursery production and regulation, food safety on the farm, the Natural Resources Conservation Service high tunnel/hoop house cost-share program, beekeeping and pollinator gardens, timber management and carbon credits, estate planning and their property, and companion planting.

The conference is sponsored by the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) Small Farm Program and the Prairie View A&M University (PVA&MU) Agriculture and Natural Resources Program.
