2022 has been a year of highlights for Anderson .Paak, as he won four Grammys with Bruno Mars for Silk Sonic‘s “Leave the Door Open.” Now the singer/rapper/drummer is ready for Christmas: he’s starring in the new H&M holiday campaign.

Anderson wears a pair of wigs and goes blond in a fantasy commercial as he parties in the middle of an indoor snow storm.

“I think it was just supposed to be the one ‘Pee Wee’ wig, like the bowl cut one,” Paak tells Rolling Stone. “But then they saw the blond one and they saw how it looked with the zebra top and they were just like, ‘Oh man, we gotta use that, too.’ We were just, like, having fun.”

Prior to the incredible success of Silk Sonic, Paak formed a duo named NxWorries with producer Knxwledge and released the 2016 album Yes Lawd! Six years later, they’ve reunited, and last week they dropped a new track, “Where I Go,” featuring H.E.R.

“I’m just super excited to be back working with Knxwledge again. We’ve got a great chemistry,” the 36-year-old musician says.

As Paak looks back at Silk Sonic’s amazing debut, he has very fond memories of how fans loved their Vegas residency at Park MGM.

“They were just so happy to have that kind of music come back, and they were just saying how refreshing the show was,” he comments. “And to be onstage with Bruno, who I think is one of the best entertainers living, and see him go out every night and just give it his all … and we’d be up there with our chemistry, it was one of the greatest, one of the big highlights of my career.”
