A $75,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man who allegedly pointed a gun at another man during an altercation Saturday.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Claudell Turner, 37, with aggravated assault, terroristic threatening and being a felon in possession of a firearm because of a prior conviction.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Laquincia Smith, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said officers on patrol were approached by a man who said another man, later identified as Turner, had pointed a gun at him.

Smith reported that she watched the security video and saw a flash and a spark when Turner raised his right hand.

Turner was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Jan. 17.
