Two Jefferson County residents arrested Sunday will have to post $5,000 bonds to be released from the adult detention center after a court hearing Monday.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bonds after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Katherine Baker and Christopher Cagle with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Reading from an affidavit by White Hall Police Sgt. Clayton Cantrell, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said at 5:40 p.m., White Hall Police conducted a traffic stop on a white Chevrolet Tahoe that had expired tags.
Akel said Cagle had less than two grams of suspected methamphetamine and Baker had less than 10 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
Both said they would hire their own attorneys and were told to come back to court Feb. 26.
