Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Bobby Sanders, 51, with first-degree criminal mischief.

Reading from an affidavit by Sheriff’s Sgt. Dennis Kendall, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said on Thursday, the sheriff’ s office was notified of a theft at an apartment building on West 27th Avenue. When he got there, Kendall reported meeting with Mike Rabol who said he was working on the apartments when he saw a man later identified as Sanders leave an apartment with a backpack.

West went on to say this.

Cost to repair the damage to the apartment was set at $5,000.

Sanders has prior drug related convictions and felony non-support convictions.

He was told to come back to court Sept. 4 and misdemeanor resisting arrest and theft of property charges were added to the felony allegation.
