A Pine Bluff man currently out on bond for allegedly breaking into a business was arrested Friday and is suspected of two other burglaries.
Terry Penister, 56, is suspected of breaking into the Dollar General on Ridgway Road on April 21 and the Dollar General on Camden Road on April 24.
During a court hearing Monday, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West talked about those burglaries.
Detective Dante Nicholson reported that on Friday, an officer on patrol stopped Penister near 12th Avenue and Cypress Street and Penister gave the officer a false name and date of birth.
West said prosecutors will be filing paperwork to revoke Penister’s bond on the first burglary allegation and said Penister has a substantial criminal history of burglaries, thefts and drug related allegations.
Because of that history, Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $20,000 cash only bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with two counts of commercial burglary. Penister was told to come back to court Aug. 5.
