A $20,000 bond was set Monday for a Little Rock man arrested on drug and weapons charges Sunday.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Trey Buckhanan, 23, with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.
Reading from an affidavit by State Police Trooper First Class Trevon Moore, Deputy Prosecutor Lisa McGriff said on Sunday at 6:11 p.m. Moore was southbound on Interstate 530 at Exit 34 when he saw a vehicle that had a forged license plate sticker and conducted a traffic stop.
Moore reported that he asked Buckhanan if there were any weapons in the vehicle and Buckhanan said yes.
McGriff said Buckhanan has no prior criminal history in Jefferson County and he was told to come back to court Feb. 10.
