A $2,500 cash only bond was set Friday for a Star City woman on drug related allegations.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Carissa Carter, 48, with possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

During the court hearing, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel explained the allegations, based on an affidavit from Detective Lee Freeman on March 5.

Akel said police found a clear baggie containing 1.8 grams of a crystal-like substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine and a smoking pipe.

Carter has a case pending in circuit court and was told to come back to district court April 11.
