A $2,500 bond was set Friday for a White Hall High School student who allegedly threatened a teacher at the school Tuesday.

Hasahne Summerville, 18, will have to post a $2,500 bond to be released from the adult detention center after Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth on Friday ruled prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with terroristic threatening.

Reading from an affidavit by White Hall Police Investigator Charles Treadway, Prosecuting Attorney S. Kyle Hunter explained the allegation against Summerville.

Hunter explained that existing state law is that threatening a teacher who is acting in the line of duty is a felony.

Summerville was ordered to have no contact with the teacher and told to come back to court Jan. 31.
