A $10,000 cash only bond was set Monday for a Jefferson Count man currently on probation who was arrested on a drug related allegation.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Jeffery Ives, 40, with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputy Prosecutor Ty Spradlin said Ives was arrested after a White Hall Police Officer stopped a white Toyota on Sheridan Road after a license plate check showed the driver had no insurance on the vehicle.

Because of the active felony warrant, Ives was placed in the back seat of the officer’s car while a search was conducted.

Court records showed that Ives has four or more felony convictions and is on probation in first division of circuit court. He was told to come back to court March 17.
