A $100,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man on drug and weapons charges.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Jalyn Reed, 31, with possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver, being a felon in possession of a firearm and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.
Deputy Prosecutor Ty Spradlin said Reed was arrested Friday after Arkansas State Trooper Nathan Jines stopped a Dodge Charger on Highway 530 at Exit 39 for speeding 81 miles per hour in a 65-mile-per-hour zone.
Spradlin said Reed admitted having drugs and a gun in his vehicle.
Reed was told to come back to court Feb. 14.
