8-4A Champion Watson Chapel Wildcats Prepare For Regional Tournament

The 8-4A champion Wildcats are headed to Warren, Arkansas today for the first round of their regional tournament. The Cats’ were undefeated in conference play, posting an impressive 14-0 record.

First year head coach Jevon Barnes said that he knew the pieces were in place to be successful, but did not know that the team would fair this well:

Coach Barnes also talked about when the Cats’ started to show promise during the season.

Chapel had key wins against 5A conference members White Hall, Maumelle, Alma, and Sylvan Hills twice this season, while racking up 15 straight wins in route to an undefeated conference record.

The Wildcats will face Ashdown tonight at Warren High School in the 4A regional tournament. Tip off scheduled for 8:30p.m.
