A Pine Bluff man was arrested Friday after he allegedly slapped and hit his daughter.
David Young, 33, was taken into custody after police responded to a reported armed disturbance in the Belmoor area, Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander said during a court hearing Tuesday.
Alexander said Young has a previous misdemeanor conviction for third-degree domestic battery from February 2021 and prior felony convictions for aggravated assault and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $75,000 bond for Young after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with second offense third-degree domestic battery, a felony. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Sept. 25.
