Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Sergio Douglas, 38, with two counts of forgery and one count of theft of property.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Ryan Edwards, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said on Oct. 14 and 15, Douglas went to three different businesses, Roberts Brothers on Oct. 14 and American Tire Exchange and Mid-Town Tire and Auto on the 15th.

West said Douglas is a suspect in similar thefts in Sheridan, Searcy and Russellville, is on parole after being convicted of theft of property and criminal attempt in Pulaski County and has a white (absconder) warrant.

Douglas was told to come back to court Dec. 13.
