A $75,000 cash only bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man on multiple drug related charges.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Shomar Coleman, 30, with four counts of possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, distribution of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a playground and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Kevin Kirk, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said Monday night, police vice and narcotics officers and Tri-County Drug Task Force agents served a search warrant at an apartment and found Coleman and his juvenile daughter in the residence.

West told the court what investigators found during the search.

West said Coleman is currently on a suspended imposition of sentence for multiple charges, the most significant of them kidnapping.

Coleman said he would hire his own attorney and was told to come back to court June 14.
