A $75,000 bond was set Tuesday for a Jefferson County man on drug related charges.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors haves probable cause to charge Murray Green with possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Reading from an affidavit from White Hall Police Investigator Clayton Cantrell, Deputy Prosecutor Lisa McGriff said a White Hall Police officer stopped a silver Volvo driven by Green Monday because the vehicle did not have a license plate.

A check with the Arkansas Crime Information Center showed that Green was a parolee on active supervision and had a search warrant waiver on file. It also showed there was an active warrant for Greens’ arrest.

McGriff said Green has been convicted twice of drug related offenses in 2019. He said he would hire his own attorney.
