$5k bond set for a Pine Bluff Man accused of driving a stolen vehicle

A $5,000 cash only bond was set Tuesday for a Pine Bluff man accused of driving a vehicle that had been reported stolen.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Cedric Cleveland, 34, with theft by receiving.

Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander said the allegation is based on an affidavit by Arkansas State Trooper Joe Andeson.

Alexander said an alias warrant was issued for Cleveland after he failed to appear for a court hearing and the bond he has posted was forfeited. He also has a pending charge of second offense third-degree domestic battery from an arrest last year. He was told to come back to court Nov. 9.
