A 51-year-old Pine Bluff man will be held without bond on probable cause of capital murder after a court hearing Friday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney also ruled that prosecutors have probable cause to charge Charlie Irvin with tampering with physical evidence.

During the court hearing, Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King said sheriff’s deputies were sent to 3103 Eva Drive near the Hardin Community Thursday at 6:46 p.m. in response to a reported shooting.

Sheriff’s Investigator Terry Wingard reported that investigators also found that there had been a working camera DVR system in the house and located a burned DVR in a fire pit outside the residence that the owner of the house said appeared to be the system that was in the house.

King said deputies also talked to the girlfriend of the owner who had been in the house and she said she had been asleep on the couch when she heard gunshots and said she got up and saw Alexander on the floor dead.

Irvin was ordered to come back to court on May 3 and the Public Defender’s Office was appointed to represent him.
