A $50,000 bond was set Thursday for a Pine Bluff man accused of threatening a group of children Tuesday.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Kedrick Johnson, 41, with five counts of terroristic threatening.
During the court hearing, Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson said at about 9:40 p.m., police were sent to 2504 S. Cherry St., where a male was reportedly waiving a knife and threatening children.
Reading from an affidavit by Detective Corey Wilfong, Carson told the court what police found when they arrived.
Carson said there were three other juvenile victims who told police they were walking to the store when Johnson started harassing them and one of them said Johnson told her he was going to stab he and her friends.
Wilfong also reviewed security video which showed Johnon walking with a knife in his hands. There was no audio with the video.
Johnson is currently on a suspended imposition of sentence and was ordered to have no contact with the victims and told to come back to court Jan. 17. He said he would hire his own attorney.
