A $50,000 cash only bond was set Tuesday for a Pine Bluff man accused of making threats against members of his girlfriend’s family.

Jefferson County Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Kyron Cook, 23, with first-degree terroristic threatening and stalking.

Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King said during the court hearing that the victim contacted police on March 29 and reported that she had been receiving threatening texts and messages from Cook, who dates her daughter and is the father of her grandchild.

On Feb. 11, Cook was arrested after he entered the victim’s home and shot her son and js currently out on bond on two counts of first-degree battery. King said Cook was issued a no contact order following that incident but he violated it April 21.

He was issued another no contact order for these allegations and told to come back to court June 17.
