A reported armed disturbance Tuesday afternoon resulted in the arrest of a man who allegedly fired multiple shots at another man.

Kenny Christopher, 58, was identified as the suspect who was taken into custody after police were sent to 2306 W. 25th

During a court hearing Thursday, Deputy Prosecutor Caleb Conrad described what happened when the officers arrived.

Detective Chris Wieland reported that officers searched outside the residence, where Christopher rents a room, and were unable to find a gun.

Christopher was taken to the Detective Office where he was read his rights and agreed to make a statement. In that statement, he said he was at the residence but did not fire a gun.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $50,000 bond for Christopher, who Conrad said had multiple prior convictions, after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with aggravated assault.

Christopher said he would hire his own attorney and was ordered to have no contact with the victim util the case is settled.
