Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Ta’Kae’lien Paschal, 19, with kidnapping.

Reading from an affidavit from Detective Chris Wieland, Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King told the court what Paschal allegedly did.

King said police reported Paschal drove the vehicle at a high rate of speed and after the vehicle was stopped, said he did not put his hands on her.

Paschal was ordered to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled.

His family said they would hire an attorney for him.
