Five Southeast Arkansas residents are in jail facing attempted capital murder charges after a traffic stop by White Hall Police Wednesday night.
Two White Hall Police Officers were reportedly exposed to fentanyl because of the stop and had to be taken to Jefferson Regional Hospital. Police Chief Mickey Buffkin told Deltaplex News Thursday that the officers have been released after treatment but will be off for a couple of days.
Buffkin declined to discuss the circumstances that led to the arrests and said all five suspects will appear in court for a probable cause hearing Friday.
The five were identified as Brittany Billings, 35, Michael Branson, 51, Mack Faulkner, 22, Skylar Rauls, 30, and Justin Wooten, who is not currently on the jail log.
