A Pine Bluff man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly threatened to kill his girlfriend.

Donta Meeks, 38, was taken into custody after police were sent to an apartment in the 600 block of Idaho Street in response to a reported welfare check.

Reading from an affidavit from Detective Keith Banks, Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King told the court what the officers were told.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $3,500 bond for Meeks after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charger him with Terroristic Threatening. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled.
